Pragya (Sanskrit: प्रज्ञ) also written as प्रज्ञा, प्राज्ञ and प्राज्ञा, means the highest and purest form of wisdom, intelligence and understanding. The name and therefore the Centre for Research aim to facilitate greater understanding in various fields of knowledge through research. The way we have spelt it, PRAGHNA, is also an acronym for the subjects that the Centre will deal with:

Praghna Centre for Research

We are a not-for-profit company registered under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act. Praghna intends to deal with activities related to academic research, capacity building for research and dissemination of knowledge through various modes for enabling a knowledge driven society. 


Vision


 

We intend training and providing opportunities to students, researchers and emerging scholars for carrying out scientific research in Social Sciences, Humanities and Strategic Studies and to publish their research. Where appropriate, we undertake Advocacy, Consultancy and Publication services in consonance with our vision, with public and private institutions/entities.


Objectives

 

Foster interest among students and research scholars for interdisciplinary and innovative approach for academic research and encourage them to contribute towards nation building.


 

Build capacity and skills for qualitative and quantitative research in social and strategic studies


 

Collaborate with institutions to undertake and to promote research in subjects of interest


 

Disseminate knowledge through publications, conferences, seminars/webinars and other media to promote scholarly approach and debate on issues of social and strategic relevance
